benfica interested in Robinho
Portuguese club Benfica are reportedly keen to snap up Robinho from Manchester City. The Brazilian is desperate to get away from Eastlands - having spent a good part of last season on loan to Santos.
With the arrival of star names at City, he is bound to be pushed down the pecking order and given his rocky relationship with manager Roberto Mancini, things are not looking too rosy for the striker at the moment.
Robinho arrived in England from Real Madrid in 2008 and made an immediate impact, scoring from a free-kick on his Premier League debut.
It has been all downhill since then though and the striker's prima donna act has done nothing to endear him to the coach. His future lies elsewhere and News of the World reports Benfica are eyeing him in exchange for their star player David Luiz.
The defender is already coveted by Chelsea though and along with the high price tag City have placed on their 32.5 million asset, chances of an immediate move away from Eastlands seem dim for Robinho.- Premier League
